This 2009 photograph shows a black and white apartment block at 9 Woking Road, Wessex Estate. This walk-up apartment block was built in the 1940s during the colonial period. A woman can be seen walking down the slope in front of the block. Part of the One-north development initiative, the houses in this area have now become home to a community of artists, teachers and actors. Title devised by Library staff.
