Calligrapher, 1970s : front view [1]

This photograph shows a Chinese calligrapher working on his craft. Calligraphers were among the five-foot-way traders who conducted their businesses along shophouse walk-ways which were five feet wide. Such calligraphy stalls were commonly found in areas such as Chinatown. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
