Tanjong Pagar Road, at Cook Street : general view [1]

This 1982 photograph shows Tanjong Pagar Road, at Cook Street corner. It shows a view of a street with a multi-storey shophouse building at the junction of the two roads. Tanjong Pagar means "cape of stakes" in Malay, and the road is probably named for the kelongs found in the sea near the area. Title devised by Library staff.
