Spottiswoode Park Road shophouses : general view [20]

Reproduction Available:

This is a 1982 photograph of a row of three-storey shophouses found in Spottiswoode Park Road, which is located near the Tanjong Pagar area. Spottiswoode Park Road is probably named after one of the partners of Spottiswoode & Co. They were William, Charles and Archibald Spottiswoode. The photograph shows a view of three shophouses attached to each other. There is a street sign in front of the first unit nearer to the foreground of the photograph. The building is connected to the street by a five foot way. The shophouses feature three rows of French windows divided by secondary pilasters to create separate bays with rounded arches. Title devised by Library staff.
