This 1993 photograph shows a shop, at Upper Changi Road (between Tanah Merah Kechil Road and Jalan Tanjong). The shop is housed in a single-storey building nestled among shady, roadside plants. The road sign for Tanah Merah Kechil Road, and a speed limit sign, can be seen to the left. The name Changi may be from changi ular, a climbing shrub. Changi could also be a variation of the local timber named changai. Title devised by library staff.
