A poster advertising some medical products in Chinese can also be seen. Sri Manmatha Karuneshvarar Temple or Sivan Temple is a Hindu temple for Sri Manmatha Karuneshvarar Sivan or Shiva as the presiding deity. The temple was started by large number of Hindu employees who wanted a shrine to install the deity to seek its protection as well as to sustain their Hindu traditions and values. The temple was thus established on 1 January 1888 on a lease from the Governor of the Straits Settlements. Title devised by Library staff.
