This is a 1982 photograph, showing Stamford Road, with the old Capitol Flats on the opposite, towards Armenian Street. The old flats are not found in the present day street directory. Stamford Road was named after Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of Singapore. Title devised by Library staff.
