This 1971 photograph shows several gilded Chinese plaques and ancestral photographs hung on the wall. Intricately carved wooden armchairs and a cabinet are seen lined up against the wall. This house is the ancestral home to the late Tun Dato Sri Sir Cheng-lock Tan in Malacca. He was the founder of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), which advocated his cause for the Malaysian Chinese population. Title devised by Library staff.
