This 1980 photograph shows vegetable sellers with rattan baskets of vegetables at the now-expunged Chin Hin Street. These baskets are placed at the lower floor of the two-storey shophouses lining the street. Several people in the picture are seen bending over, looking at the vegetables. Vegetable wholesalers used to trade in the Chin Hin Street, Teh Chew Street and Carpenter Street areas before being removed to the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market. Title devised by Library staff.
