S/S Pyrrhus in harbour, 1920 : general view

This 1920 photograph is mounted on a board, with handwritten words "S/S Pyrrhus Singapore" on the front. This photograph shows S/S Pyrrhus in the harbour. Singapore was an important port-of-call in the 1900s. The ship could have been ferrying passengers or carrying cargoes such as tin ores, coffee, pepper, rice, rubber and tobacco. S/S refers to Steam Ship. Title devised by Library staff.
