This 1990 photograph shows the beach at Changi Sailing Club, on Netheravon Road. The club is in the Changi area, was named after the Chengai tree (Blanocarpus heimii) that used to grow in the district but cleared to make way for Royal Air Force Base with one Chengai tree left standing as a guide to mark the base.
