This 1992 photograph shows Lorong 34 Geylang, near Geylang Road junction. It shows a view of a street with shophouses and terrace houses along the sides. There are also roadside parking lots to the left of the photograph. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
