This 1986 photograph shows Townshend Road (from Syed Alwi Road junction). It shows a view of a shophouse building at the junction of the two roads. Behind the shophouses can be seen two residential apartment blocks. Townshend Road is named after General Townshend, a war hero in World War I. Title devised by Library staff.
