This 1982 photograph shows Lorong 29 Geylang. It shows a street with a grove of trees. To the left are some wooden houses with zinc fencing and also surrounded by trees. Geylang is possibly named after the kilangs (presses or mills in Malay), which used to operate in the area. Title devised by Library staff.
