This 1968 photograph shows a shophouse on Kinta Road. The first storey features bat-shaped air-vents and swinging doors (pintu pagar), typical Peranakan features that allow breezes into the dwellings while maintaining privacy. On the second storey is seen a full-length French window flanked by two half-length casement windows, separated by decorative pilasters and framed with architraves. Title devised by Library staff.
