H. Ms. corvette Encounter arrived at Manila on the 12th instant, from Hongkong en route to Singapore. The Encounter saluted the Spanish flag with 21 guns and the Naval commander-in-chief there with 13 guns, both salutes being responded to by the Spanish authorities.
