Legal Research, a module within LawNet, is an integrated environment that allows you to search different types of legal content and multiple sources at a single go.

Every instructor is vetted based on criteria such as their deep, practical knowledge, credibility and credentials.

  3. The medici.tv platform is home to the world’s largest video-on-demand catalogue in the classical music industry with concerts, operas, ballets, documentaries, master classes and jazz programmes available to stream in high definition (HD). The video content available on this platform is rated PG13 and below.

    Accessibility features for medici.tv include alternative text for images, subtitles for concert programs (operas, documentaries), complete keyboard navigation for users, total support of orientation mode.

  4. MusicSG

    MusicSG is a non-profit digital archive set up to digitise, archive and provide access to all forms of published Singapore musical works. It assembles a collection of music composed or published by Singaporeans, music produced or published in Singapore, and music related to Singapore. Resources featured are based on collections (e.g. by composers and items related to places in Singapore) and composers. They can be also browsed by genres which include the following Campaign Music, Chinese Classical, Computer Music, Films/TV/Musicals, Folk, Hip Hop/Rap, Indian, Jazz, Malay, National Music, Pop, Religious Music, Rock/Metal, Trance/Techno, Western Classical.

    This edatabase has been replaced with National Library Online with effect from 4 Oct 2023. Available at all libraries and from home.


  5. National Library online

    National Library Online will consolidate and integrate the National Library's digital collection (BookSG, MusicSG, NORA, PictureSG, Infopedia and HistorySG) to allow for a more seamless search for resources across formats. With the single point of entry, contents will be easily search and access which will be categorised by their respective formats , e.g. articles, books and magazines, documents and manuscripts, images as well as audio and video recordings.

  6. National Online Repository of the Arts (NORA)

    NORA is a database showcasing over 400 digitised works in the literary, performing and visual arts by prominent Singapore artists. As a source of reference for those interested in Singapore arts, NORA aims to digitally preserve Singapore’s arts heritage and create awareness about Singapore’s arts and culture.

    This edatabase has been replaced with National Library Online with effect from 4 Oct 2023. Available at all libraries and from home.


  7. Classical music recordings for on-demand streaming, with supplementary material such as album covers, liner notes, inlay card, biographies of composers and artists, curated playlists, educational resources such as Study Guides, interactive music dictionary etc. For access with the NML mobile app, please refer to the installation guide.

  8. Previously known as NetLibrary, eBooks are now searchable on the EBSCOhost platform, providing a single source for discovering book content. It offers easy-to-use functionality with access to the latest content and best-selling titles (including Singapore & Southeast Asia titles) from the world's leading publishers. Its new EBSCOhost interface supports useful features such as browsing by subject area and by latest titles added to a library's collection; viewing of table of contents; searching by specific terms with hyperlinked pages; navigation of chapters and sections; optional download capabilities and much more.

    Accessibility features for EBSCO eBooks include keyboard navigation, screen reader, braille display, zooming or scaling tools, and EBSCO online viewer. Many books are available in EPUB format that have Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection, and require Adobe Digital Editions to read offline.   9. Newslink is an online archival news information service that provides access to English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil language newspapers from SPH Media Limited dating back to 1989.

    Limited to 80 concurrent access only. Available at all libraries and from home.


  10. NewspaperSG

    NewspaperSG is an online resource of current and historic Singapore and Malaya newspapers. You can search our digital archive of newspapers published in Singapore, or find information on over 200 newspaper titles in the National Library's microfilm collection.

    Unlimited archive access is via the multimedia media stations at the libraries. Full article access from home (watermarked) is from 1831 to 1989 only.


  11. OverDrive

    OverDrive offers a wide range of eBooks, audiobooks, comics and eMagazines. To borrow and read the titles in NLB's collection, please use the NLB Mobile app or Libby app.

    Available at all libraries and from home. The OverDrive app has been discontinued. It has been removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Microsoft store from 23 Feb 2022 and will not be available for new users. Existing users of the OverDrive app are encouraged to switch to the Libby app. The OverDrive website will continue to be accessible.

    PictureSG is a collection of pictures, be it photographs or artworks, which provide information about Singapore. It contains NLB’s own pictures, pictures donated to NLB by respective donors and others contributed by our partners. It is a visual treat that allows the discovery of Singapore through images in various categories such as Architecture & Landscape, Arts, Commerce & Industry, Ethic Communities, Events, Geography, Nature, Organisations, Personalites, Politics & Government, and Recreation.

    This edatabase has been replaced with National Library Online with effect from 4 Oct 2023. Available at all libraries and from home.
