A group photograph of the sergeants from Singapore Volunteer Artillery Corps (SVA). Standing from left to right: Major Henry Edward McCallum, Sgt. Shaw and Adjutant Cochrane. Sitting from left to right: Sgt. Hilton, Sgt. Makepeace, Sgt. Batty, Sgt. Morrison (behind), and Sgt. Benjafield. SVA was formed on 22 February 1888 and became part of SVC on 12 December 1901. On 9 February 1923, SVA became Singapore Royal Artillery (Volunteer) or SRA (V). Title devised by Library staff.
