This book is a collection of contributions on theoretical and experimental aspects of, as well as applications to, the various branches of (continuum and statistical) fluid physics. Interesting features of inhomogeneous, heterogeneous and macromolecular non-Newtonian fluids are described. Surface tension effects and inhomogeneous surface-tension-driven convection (drops, liquid bridges, cellular convection, interfacial waves such as solitonic waves and wave trains, etc.) are dealt with in several chapters. In addition, chaotic phenomena and some features of turbulent behavior are discussed.
