Cenotaph, 1922 : side view


This probably taken in the 1960s photograph shows the Cenotaph, which was erected as a memorial in honour of the men who died in action during World War I and II. It was unveiled by the Prince of Wales on March 31 1922. This general side view shot is in black and white. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
