China Building at Chulia Street, circa 1964 : general view [3]

This 1964 photograph shows a street scene at Chulia Street, with vehicular traffic going in both directions. It also shows the façade of the old OCBC headquarters, also known as the China Building. Built in traditional Chinese architectural style, the China Building features a distinctive roof. A row of two-storey shophouses can be seen to the right of the photograph. Across the road from the shophouses, is a traffic island at which several cars are parked. Title devised by Library staff.

Date of creation estimated.
