Asia Insurance Building, 1956 : general view

This photograph shows the Asia Insurance Building, as seen from the Marina Bay waterfront. Designed by Ng Keng Siang, it was the tallest building in Singapore when it was built in 1954. The Asia Insurance Building was renamed as Ascott Singapore Raffles Place in November 2008 after it was redeveloped into serviced apartments by the Ascott Group, a division of CapitaLand. Title devised by Library staff.
