This 1982 photograph shows Neil Road, towards Kreta Ayer Road on left. It shows a view of a one-way street with shophouses on both sides. In the left background can be seen some high-rise commercial buildings of the central business district. Neil Road is named after Colonel Neil of the Madras Fusiliers, of the Indian Mutiny of 1857. Neil Road is in the Tanjong Pagar area. Title devised by Library staff.
