Kallang Road, from Lorong 1 Geylang : general view


This 1992 photograph shows a tree-lined Kallang Road, from Geylang Lorong 1 junction. A pavement that runs parallel to the road can be seen to the right. Kallang Road is named after the original inhabitants of Singapore, the Biduanda Orang Kallang, who lived in the swamps at the river mouth. Title devised by Library staff.
