Gun carriage in the 1870s : close-up

This photograph, taken between 1870 and 1879, shows a damaged gun carriage. Such artillery was a common sight at the forts (such as Fort Canning and Fort Siloso) that were built by the Colonial Government for the defence of early Singapore. Title devised by Library staff.
