This 1992 photograph depicts houses at no. 16 and 14 at Lorong 10 Geylang (at west corner, Talma Road). There is a road sign outside one of the houses. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term “kilang”, Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
